Privacy Policy

This covers what we collect when you book a tour, use the chat or simply read the site — and what you can do about it. It is deliberately short, because a policy nobody finishes reading protects nobody.

Who we are

What we collect

When you book: Your name, email, phone and pickup details, through Bokun, the system that runs our bookings. Card details go straight to the payment provider — we never see or store them.
When you use the chat: What you type, the dates you pick and the language you are reading in. Your message is sent to Cloudflare's AI service, which writes the answer. Your IP address is counted for an hour so the chat cannot be flooded.
When you leave your email in the chat: Your address, along with the question you asked and any dates you gave, so we can come back to you with a real answer.
When you use the trade enquiry form: Your company, your contact details and what you asked us.
When you allow it: Analytics and advertising cookies. Decline them and none of it loads — the site works the same. The cookie page lists them.
Always: Ordinary server records of page requests, kept briefly to keep the site up and secure.

Why we are allowed to

To run the tour you booked: Performing our contract with you.
To answer what you asked: Our legitimate interest in replying to someone who contacted us.
To keep the site working: Our legitimate interest in security and in stopping abuse.
To measure and advertise: Your consent, given in the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
To keep our books: Finnish accounting law.

Who else sees it

Bokun handles bookings. Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the AI that writes chat answers. Resend delivers enquiry emails to us. With your consent only, Google, Meta and X receive analytics and advertising data. Some operate outside the EEA, under the European Commission's adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. How long we keep it

Chat messages and enquiries: one year.
Anti-flooding counters: one hour.
Booking and accounting records: as long as accounting law requires.
Analytics: for the period set by each provider.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, take it elsewhere, and withdraw any consent you gave. One email is enough: info@experiencetours.fi. If we do not sort it out to your satisfaction, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi.
